Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to preach and teach the pure word of our Savior to all people to show them His salvation for time and eternity.

Ascension is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The WELS is a world-wide church with congregations in all 50 states, as well as in Canada. The WELS also supports mission work in many foreign countries.

As a WELS church, Ascension Lutheran believes and teaches:

• The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the one, true God.
• The Bible is the error-free Word of God.
• Jesus Christ is true God and this world's only Savior from sin.
• Only Jesus' forgiveness can give eternal life.
• Faith in Jesus produces an upright life.
• God has all power to help in every need

The members of Ascension invite and welcome you to come and worship with us. Classes are offered for learning more about our Savior Jesus Christ and the basic teachings of the Bible. We wish you the Lord's richest blessings and hope to see you soon! 

About our church

Here at Ascension we preach the Law, which convicts each of us of sin

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

We also preach the Gospel, which announces that God sent his Son to live the perfect life we are not able to live. Jesus died on the cross to pay for the guilt of all our sins.
